Our first gold! 3,200 year old Bronze age.

Wow! What an amazing day, our first ever gold and it was on our own permission. If I'm honest, when I first found it I thought it was a twisted gold bottle top, and then upon further inspection I thought it was a broken modern bracelet. It wasn't until we got home and cleaned it that Deborah told me it looked more important than a broken bracelet!

Thankyou to all of the people that identified it on the various forums. Without all of your wonderful knowledge, I would still be thinking I had found two modern linked chain rings! 

The rings will be handed over this week to Helen, and then they will go through the usual treasure act process. 

Finds like these are not common, and the fact that it has been saved is amazing. 

The amazing find was all thanks to the trusty Minelab Equinox 700. We have been using it for 1 and a half years, and so far we have found nearly everything you would want to find.
